One of our reviewers pointed out some confusing language Clearwell. When attempting to bulk tag a set of previously un-tagged records with a single-choice (mutually exclusive) tag (NR, in this case), some of the text on the "confirm" tag window raised an alarm bell. See the attached screenshot below, with the relevant portion in the red box.
One of our LitSupport managers aptly deciphered this to mean that, because the reviewer was changing a mutually exclusive tag, this is what Clearwell meant: if any of the records were tagged with any of the other mutually exclusive tags in that tagset (R, FFR), they would be untagged by this action. We confirmed this by adding another tag to that tagset called "Test" and, when re-doing the bulk tag, the language in red changed to "Items will be untagged with 3 tags." However, none of these documents were tagged previously, so none of the items are being untagged. Essentially, Clearwell is not calculating that any specific records are going to be untagged -- instead, it's merely showing a general disclaimer about the nature of using single-choice, mutually exclusive tags.
We think this language is confusing and could be made clearer, removed entirely, or changed to dynamic text that only tells you that something will be untagged IF something is actually going to be untagged.
